Dear all,
Is it possible to get some templates? If yes, where I can find them?
I've especially interested in getting templates from http://wikipedia.org/wiki/Uzbekistan - where country flags and additional info is on the right of the screen. How do I get it?
I'd like this infoboxes aswell, and would know how to make/get them on my wiki. Aswell, is the "table" Icon in the edit area a default to enable?
I have a template that is used for suborganizations in our group to build their unique information into a standardized format. Part of this template includes categories so they can be listed on the appropriate category pages. The problem is, the template itself shows up on the category page, too, which I don't want. Is there a way to keep the template from showing up while still allowing it to put pages created from the template into the category page?
Thanks!

Normally, you fix that by putting <includeonly></includeonly> around the categories, I don't know if that works when the templates are used as a standard for new articles, rather than transcluded, though.

I'm doubtful that this would be the case - it would require that the EditPage preloading mechanism is smart enough to strip out <includeonly> pairs along with any contained text.

MediaWiki-l mailing list MediaWiki-l@lists.wikimedia.org http://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mediawiki-l
To answer you " .. Aswell, is the "table" Icon in the edit area a default to enable" this was answered last week to my same question.
This info is from Alexis Moinet, Ian Smith and Rob Church
1) go to this page
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Common.js
2) select the entire section starting with
/** Extra toolbar options ****************************************************** * * Description: UNDOCUMENTED * Maintainers: [[User:MarkS]]?, [[User:Voice of All]], [[User:R. Koot]] */
3) in your wiki, in the search line enter
Wikimedia:Common.js
Create the new page if needed. Then paste the text (from # 2) into the page and save.
4) Go to your main page
5) Hard reset your browser. In IE and Firefox this can be done by SHIFT-Reload
Then edit a page. The additional items should be now available
Thanks to this list again for helping me get this going
