after upgarding to mediawiki 1.6.7 and magpierss
it works well except for a glitch after having saved a page with the
<rss> tag in it.
The save works, but instead of being returned to the live page
afterwards, a blank page is presented. The same thing happens when
performing a diff if that page version is included. Any suggestions?

Hello,
It's an extension that you can find at
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/GISWiki/RSS
copy it as rss.php in extensions directory
You should also get magpierss that you will get at
http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/
You copy everything in extensions directory
Then you should add "require_once('magpierss/rss_fetch.inc');" in
rss.php
The last thing is to edit LocalSettings.php with something like:
require_once("extensions/rss.php");
And then you should be able to use <rss>

Hi, Has anyone tried running RSS feeds within
MediaWiki 1.6.7? I would
like to run our blog OR feeds from a few news sources along the right side
of all the pages. Not sure which files I need to update to do this OR how
to use the \included\Feed.php file. Any pointers to
configuring/customizing MediaWiki to run feeds would be greatly
appreciated! Thank you, Karen
