Version is 1.16.5 for those playing at home. That's pretty old, but you should be able to do an upgrade. The first step is to create a copy of the wiki you can experiment with.

As long as you haven't done too much customization, the update should go fairly smooth: download the 1.26.2 tarball, unpack, copy LocalSettings.php, copy extensions, run update.php. You may have to disable or update most of your non-core extensions.
