Dear all,
when trying to set up a Wiki with MediaWiki 1.3.10 I get the following
error message:

directory for the XHTML template. Check that the TMP environment
variable points to a writable directory, or that the default temp
dir (/tmp) exists and is writable.

/tmp IS writeable (I even made it 777).
Any hints?
