Html2Wiki extension on FreeBSD (www/mediawiki125)

Dear list, On a server running FreeBSD 10.2-Release, I had no problems to configure www/mediawiki125. I do not use many extensions but would like to use Html2Wiki. I have installed it according to the guide at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Html2Wiki. Therefore, I also installed textproc/hs-pandoc. When I add the line "require_once "$IP/extensions/Html2Wiki/Html2Wiki.php";" to LocalSettings.php and reloaded apache, the only thing to see on the wiki page is something like "Html2Wiki requires pandoc.". The pandoc command is in the path (I can run it from a shell). I hope anyone has a solution. Regards, Jon Theil Nielsen --

VisualEditor's rules for image search?

We've installed VisualEditor on our local wiki (1.26.2), and I have a question about how the "Insert > Media" command works. It pops up a search box, and when you enter some text, it displays images. How is it determining which images "match" my search? The results seem counterintuitive. For instance, if I type "Example", and my wiki contains File:Example.jpg, this image does NOT come up in the search results. (This seems really odd.) A different image named File:Foobar.jpg appears in the results. It has the word "example" in the text of its File page. However, other images that also contain the word "example" on their File pages do not appear. (One of them is File:Example.jpg!) I'm using the default MediaWiki search engine (mySQL search), if that matters. Our production servers run CirrusSearch, but we haven't tried VisualEditor on those servers yet. Thanks, DanB

404 page error for index.php execution

Hi there, I've just recently unzipped the Wikimedia files to the hosted server for www.itranscibe.com.au<http://www.itranscibe.com.au> All files are within a directory names "w". When I try to run the index.php file (which has all permissions set) from my browser I get a '404 page not found' error. I am also able to access other files (e.g. images within the Skins directory) from the web browser, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Does anyone have any suggestions? SemanticFormsInputs won't load due to not detecting SemanticForms

I'm upgrading one of my test wikis from 1.24.2 to 1.26.2 and part of that is upgrading the SMW extensions. Everything else seems to be working so far, but when I try to get it to load SemanticFormsInputs (SFI), I get the message "Error: Semantic Forms Inputs is a Semantic Forms extension. You need to install Semantic Forms first. I got both extensions via git clone, as suggested, and the loading in my LocalSettings.php hasn't changed, though I've tried wfLoadExtension() for SemanticForms (SF) since it supports that even though SFI doesn't. Looking at the SFI code, the error I'm getting is it not seeing the SF_VERSION value being defined, which is done in SF when it loads. So something is probably going awry with the SF loading, even though it shows in Special:Version, though now under "Special pages" rather than "Semantic extensions", which I can get to if I comment out the require_once() of SFI. Any suggestions?

MediaWiki 1.26.2 upgrade from 1.25.5

Another issue I'm running into is with jQuery in MediaWiki 1.26.2, I see there are some changes. I'm now having issues with some of the jQuery functions, they seem to be toggling on and off. I have been searching and can't seem to find a solution. Thank you for your help! Phil

MediaWiki 1.26.2 upgrade from 1.25.5

1st Issue I ran into an issue upgrading to 1.26.2 I could not open MediaWiki:Common.css or MediaWiki:Common.js I found there is an issue with SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi Fatal error: Class 'Symfony\Component\Process\ProcessBuilder' not found in /app/mediawiki/mw/extensions/SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi/SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi.class.php on line 283 I disabled it and resolved the issue 2nd Issue <div class="toccolours mw-collapsible mw-collapsed" style="width:60%"> Does not seem to work Thanks for all your help! MediaWiki 1.26.2

I'm trying to setup MediaWiki 1.26.2 and everything goes through successfully when I copy the LocalSettings.php file to the root folder the vector skin does not display properly, everything goes to the left. This was not an upgrade and I did not see anything in the installation instructions that I missed. Please let me know what I check to resolve this issue. Thank you for your help! Phil

Central Auth...again

Hello again, So, since I last mailed in, I've been going back and forth with CentralAuth trying to work out what is going wrong and why it's not working. What is happening is, when a new user account is created, it's registered in the global user database but it's not creating any local accounts other than the wiki the account was registered on, and thus, not attaching. I've come to the conclusion that I must be doing something wrong that I can't see for it to not work, even when doing the same thing that others have to that have CentralAuth working.
