Jobs get stuck in queue

I've been seeing a problem for some time now where jobs in the queue will not get run or removed from the job table. The showJobs and runJobs scripts don't seem to find them but the do show in the job table and the only way to remove them is manually with delete (or truncate) statements. The job type varies, sometimes SMW\UpdateJob, sometimes refreshLinks, etc. I have five wikis but it only seems to happen on three of them since the other two have very low write activity. They are all currently MediaWiki 1.23.2 and Semantic MediaWiki 2.0. Please let me know if there are any known bugs I should look into as the possible culprits (I've yet to see any that seem to match this issue) and whether there is any more information I can provide to help troubleshoot this.

Still having problems with Reset password functionality in 1.22.x

Dear Teammates, On the reset password page of MediaWiki 1.22.x, I fill in the Username and Email address in the appropriate boxes, and select "Email new password". However, I get the error "There is no email address recorded for user "xxx". Shouldn't it be able to use the email address I have just filled in to send the user a new password, even if that user had not filled out their email address in their particular profile ? Thanks let me know if I need to set something else.

#REDIRECT to a moving target (e. g. containing variables)?

Hi there, it would be great to have a #REDIRECT directing to a "moving target" using variables like #REDIRECT [[Genealogischer Kalender/{{CURRENTYEAR}}/{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}}]] This idea doesn´t work! Citation templates & ISO dates

Hi, I've got a great dislike for ISO dates but I've copied the citation templates of Wikipedia and their Lua modules which allow ISO dates and leave them as is in the final rendering of the template. So I would like to know if there is any way I can edit them such that they automatically change all the dates currently not in full length format (e.g., 20 February 2015 for today) into this full-length format. The reason why this question is relevant is that sometimes I use Zotero to do my Wikipedia citation templates and whenever I'm citing a journal from PubMed they use ISO dates (e.g., 2015-02-20 for today). Remove downloadable files from SourceForge

Heiya, I think it will be nice to remove the tarball for MW 1.9.3 at SourceForge [1]. This version still seems to get a fair number of downloads which is probably not intended. Just changing the description on that page does not seem enough, since e.g. some person on svwiki added this link [1] [!sic] to the article about "Mediawiki" [!sic] just today. Applying User Group Permissions Across Wiki Family

Hi there, I've recently been given control of a wiki which I believe is set up as a wiki family for different languages. The default wiki can be found at http://wiki.magicjudges.org/en/w (and other languages are http://wiki.magicjudges.org/XX/w, with XX being various language codes). I am both bureaucrat and sysop on the English wiki (and see the appropriate entries in en_user_groups table). We have a shared database, but from what I can tell not shared tables for most things, as there are tables with every language prefix. The language specific user tables only have the SysOp user in. The language specific user_groups table has the groups for the SysOp, WikiOp, and two previous wiki admins. What I am trying to work out is how to make group permissions apply to all the wikis in the family. I have manually added rows to a language specific user_groups table (in this case, cs_user_groups), but when I access the http://wiki.magicjudges.org/cs/w/Special:UserRights, I am being told I don't have permissions (like it's just seeing me as a normal user). What am I missing beyond adding these group permissions in the user_group table for each language? I am running MediaWiki 1.24.1, PHP 5.6.14 (php-fpm), and MariaDB 5.5.41. Correcting errors

Hi, I went to Upload:Chemistry on my Wiki and opened up the chrome developer tools and I noticed one error I was hoping to know how to correct. Here is a screenshot showing this error: http://i.imgur.com/b5mPOmQ.png. I have opened up the debugger looking for the errors mentioned but I can't seem to identify what I need to edit (as I'm looking for "mw.log.log.warn" and "addOnloadHook" as these are what the console said was defective). upgrade from mw 1.16 under php 5.2 to 1.17, 1.19 or?

Dear list, I'm running mw 1.16 under php 5.2 und would like and should upgrade mw as well as php to actual versions. What would be the best / most safe way to achieve this? My idea is to upgrade to 1.17 because there will be the fewest changes to 1.16 und it runs as well with php > 5.2. So I could switch the server to actual php like 5.5.x. Thereafter I could upgrade to the next or the latest legacy version. Until now I only dumped the database. What do you recommend? Which next steps are advisable? Thanks in advance! Marvin Extension

Hi, I'm trying to create a new extension that enables the embedding of MarvinSketch Java applets (I have a marvin.js file, along with several .jar files that came with one of their free downloads. http://dl.chemaxon.com/marvin/15.2.9.0/marvin-all-15.2.9.0.zip is what I downloaded and extracted) into articles. This Marvin download came with several examples of how the applets could be embedded into HTML files and the proper syntax in HTML and I was wondering if there was some way of using this knowledge to create PHP files for a Marvin extension (Marvin.body.php, Marvin.php. I am neglecting Marvin.i18n.php as my Wiki is only in English and it just makes it simpler if I can leave this bit out). I have made pretty lousy efforts, but I really don't know what I'm doing. I have read https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Developing_extensions if you're wondering, but it didn't really help me as I know little about PHP. Like I know some really basic things like that: - variables start with $ - each line is ends with ; - the file needs to start with <?php and end with ?> - What appears between /* */ and after // is not rendered. - Blocks are pieces of code that are executed together. - Functions take variables and give an output and are ended with return. - " " evaluates variables - echo " " hands whatever is between the quotation marks to be rendered as HTML. Despite this I am determined to do at least some of this coding myself, but I could do with some help, if possible. See I am basing these PHP files on those of the JSmol extension (namely, the one created by Jaime Prilusky @ http://proteopedia.org/wiki/support/JSmolExtension/JSmolExtension.zip) and without annotated notes in the PHP file it is difficult to know what I should copy in my Marvin PHPs and which I should not. So what I would like to know is: * If my idea of basing it on the JSmol extension's PHP files is the way to go. If not, what better way(s) exist. Please give me detailed examples of these better ways as otherwise I'll be stuck with my PHP ignorance. * If basing it on JSmol is a decent way to do this then the purpose of each function listed in Jmol.php and Jmol.body.php would be helpful.
