Hello,
i have set up mediawiki on debian. Everything works fine so far.
Now i want to add an external auth. so that only i can register users
and they
must auth against my mysql. and it should include one time password.
Add the lines to make mediawiki only visiable for loggt in users and
that only i can
create acc was no problem.
i google a lot and find some interesting results, but none of them works
for me.

can someone help me with this, give me the hint for the right way?
Many thanks for everything that can help me,
Tobias
Hallo zusammen,
ich suche etwas Hilfe. Ich habe eine mediawiki auf debian laufen,
funktioniert auch so weit alles sehr gut.
Zugangsrechte beschränkt und nur für den innerbetrieblichen Gebrauch. So
Tobias
I've looked around but it's not obvious if there is a way to correctly
rename namespaces. Specifically, a project namespace. I know about
Aliases and Custom namespaces but i've a Project namespace I'd like to
rename.
Thanks,
Chris
Greetings.
I am writing in response to an unanswered question on the Discussion page
of the Header Tabs extension page here:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:Header_Tabs#switchtablink_pars…
This issue exists on my installation as well and I am hoping that I might
get some developer insight as to why this is occurring and, barring that,
at least ensure that you are all aware of the issue.
My installation:
Mediawiki Version 1.18.1
Header Tabs Version 0.9
Semantic Mediawiki 1.7.0.2
Semantic Drilldown 1.1
Semantic Forms 2.3.2
Semantic Results 1.7.1
ParserFunctions 1.4.0

Hello everyone,
Im using the mediawiki API to get all the category members for a given
category.
Is there a way to get them order by page Id? How?
I tried to use the "cmsort" parameter but, it just bring me the pages
alfabetically.
Regards,
Marcelo.
Hi,
I have a MediaWiki 1.17.2 running on Windows Server with WAMP and I would like to know how can I use or run the security patches "mediawiki-1.17.3.patch" and "mediawiki-i18n-1.17.3.patch"?
Best Regards
Mehdi

Just wanted to thank Derrick for doing a lot of work updating our
resources regarding anti-spam tools for MediaWiki:

Check it out -- you might not have known about some of the stuff he added!

Hi,
I have made an extension called AllTimeZones [1] that lets anyone put up
dates in a page in all Timezone formats.
I think it will be especially useful for admins when announcing a meeting
rather than the current usage I saw at
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikidata/Events (using the Template:UTC with
local time link) as I don't like the idea of opening a new website just to
check my local time.
Reedy already suggested to make the zones in UTC format (I am still working
at it), any other comments are most welcome.
The UI really needs some work IMHO. You can see its screenshot at [2].
