Just grabbing at straws here, but I noticed that the page shows a space between ]] and the comma, but there is no such space on the image showing the code. New 1.15.3 install

Hi, I have a fresh install of Mediawiki 1.15.3, but I get a blank page when trying to access the test wiki. I've upgraded from Mediawiki 1.11.0. Here is the error in the log file: PHP Fatal error: Call to private method User::loadFromSession() from context '' in /appl/web/devwiki/public_www/mediawiki-1.15.3/extensions/Auth_remoteuser.php on line 57 Current setup: -------------- MediaWiki <http://www.mediawiki.org/>: 1.15.3 PHP <http://www.php.net/>: 5.1.6 (apache2handler) MySQL <http://www.mysql.com/>: 5.0.77 Thanks

Email Extensions - New Page Creation & Emailing to all wiki user

Hi, As a Wiki SysOp user, I am looking for extension(s) for the following two requirement: 1. The SysOp user should get an email whenever a new page is created on the wiki 2. The SysOp user can send an email to all the existing wiki users. I am using Mediawiki 1.12 and I don't think these features are there in the version that I am using. Thanks

Direct Redirect to login page?

Hi, I restricted access to my whole mediawiki installation. Now when someone tries to visit my wiki, he is being redirected to an "ugly" error-page, saying "You need to log in first to view other pages". Is there a way to configure the wiki to redirect anonymous users directly to the login page? Thanks. Tim

Yeah using the chick skin http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Main_Page&useskin=chick Then you just need some simple css modifications to remove the bottom part something like this would work (place it just above "body" at the top of main.css) #column-one, #footer, #jump-to-nav{ display: none; } And add this if you dont event want the title on the page #firstHeading{ display: none; } If you know PHP you can easily remove these completely from the skin, so no CSS needed.
