No response on village pump technical... so maybe someone here knows the
answer:
== Return to page logged in from ==
How do I get login to return me to the page I logged in from, e.g. Main
Page, instead of dropping me into a "login successful" page and forcing
me to return manually?

Hi there,
we store our image files in a wiki-commons
http://wiki-commons.genealogy.net
to be used in some wikis
http://wiki-de.genealogy.nethttp://wiki-en.genealogy.nethttp://wiki-nl.genealogy.net
Special page on wiki-commons shows only use of some image right in
wiki-commons.
Can we check the use of some image in all wiki-XY instances at this
special page in wiki-commons to get all pages in all wikis in one query?
Is there a ready-for-use solution?
Thx.

Hello,
I noticed a very strange behavior of DPL (1.8.9) on one of my wikis. The
following tag version always produces an extra empty paragraph between the
heading and the list, whereas the parser function does work alright, even
with all those whitespace added to it. On my test installation (same
provider, version - 1.15.3) both versions fail!
== DPL Test ==
<dpl>category=Dateiformate</dpl>
== DPL Test ==
{{#dpl:
| category = Dateiformate
}}
I wonder if anyone else has noticed a similar behavior and has an idea what
might be the cause.
tia

Thanks. Who might I contact to get more information on this work?

Hi!
I've created the next code into a Template.
{{#if | {{{tablas|}}} ||
== Tablas ==
}}
"tabla" is invoqued in a page like this:
{{Template_Name
...
tabla =
}}
Without text. The objective is that the "Tablas" title will not apeear in
the page, although it works, the problem comes in the Table of contents,
where I see the next:
1. Section A
2. Section B
...
6. Tablas
...
How can I delete this link when 'tablas' is void? Thanks!
Welcome to mediawiki-l. This mailing list exists for discussion and questions
about the MediaWiki software[0]. Important MediaWiki-related announcements

MediaWiki development discussion, and all Wikimedia technical questions, should
be directed to the wikitech-l[2] mailing list.

Posting to the list.
Before posting to this list, please read the MediaWiki FAQ[10]. Many common
questions are answered here. You may also search the list archives to see if
your question has been asked before.
Please try to ask your question in a way that enables people to answer you.
Provide all relevant details, explain your problem clearly, etc. You may
wish to read [13], which explains how to ask questions well.
To post to the list, send mail to <mediawiki-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org>. This is a
public list, so you should not include confidential information in mails you
send.
When replying to an existing thread, use the "Reply" or "Followup" feature of
your mail client, so that clients that understand threading can sort your
message properly. When quoting other messages, please use the "inline" quoting
style[11], for clarity.
When creating a new thread, do not reply to an existing message and change the
subject. This will confuse peoples' mail readers, and will result in fewer
people reading your mail. Instead, compose a new message for your post.
Messages posted to the list have the "Reply-To" header set to the mailing list,
which means that by default, replies will go to the entire list. If you are
posting a reply which is only interesting to the original poster, and not the
list in general, you should change the reply to only go to that person. This
avoids cluttering the list with irrelevant traffic.

How do I markup IPV6 addresses so they appear as clickable
hyperlinks?
This creates a clickable IPV4 link:
http://10.10.10.10:80/
This does not create a clickable IPV6 link:
http://[1001:1001:1001:1001:1001:1001:1001:1001]:80/
The same goes for ftp prefix instead of http?
And how does one markup:
ftp://user:pass@ftp.example.com:21/
Trying that results in a broken hyperlink :( I presume once that
is figured out, the numeric versions will work fine as well.
We're using 1.15.1 and can upgrade if need be.
Thanks.
What is involved in creating a mobile phone friendly MediaWiki
installation similar to en.m.wikipedia.org?
- where is the skin? (it doesn't appear to be the one I found in the
extension matrix)
- how is the browser/user-agent detection done which redirects users
from en.wikipedia.org to the mobile version?
