Does anyone know where I can find file 'LocalSettings.php' on SUSE Linux? Seems like it should be in 'username/public_html/wiki' but not finding it. Thanks

Hello, I'm sorry to trouble the group with this request, but does anyone know if there are any "magic words", hooks or extensions which can bee added to an article which will are invisible in the online page but will force a new page in the printed version or the article. Like the way CTRL-Enter works in MSWord. I have converted a number of my companies procedures from Word to Wiki articles, but the complaint is that each new article section should begin at the top of a new page. Is this possible? I suppose if it is possible at all in html it can be done in the wiki. thanks. - rich (revansx)

Forcing an image to link to a page?

I'd like to be able to do something like: [[Image:a_picture.png|300px|a_page_link]] so that clicking on the image will take the user to the specified page, rather than to the image info page. However, I've found no instructions on how to do this, nor has experimentation yielded any results. Should I just do a template by hand, or is there a simpler way? Thanks, Ken

'index.php' File Will Not Open

I'm trying to configure Media Wiki under SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10. All prerequisite software has been installed and is running. However, when I attempt to open 'index.php' in my /public_html/wiki/config directory I'm presented w/a prompt to either open w/Firefox (the default) or save to disk. If I select 'OK' to open I'm presented w/the very same prompt. Any idea on what setting I need to correct? Thanks

Stopping MySQL with a BIG query

Hi All Does anyone have any clues as to what might be causing MySQL to stop on the server that hosts my Wiki Project? Its happened 3 times now over as many weeks so I asked the ISP to monitored it this time and this is the query being run around the time it popped. Passing variables to extensions

Hi, Is it possible to pass variables (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/ Help:Variable) to extensions ? For exemple... <myExtension snippet="Map" domain="domain.com" title="{{SUBPAGENAME}}" /> How do I set the page title as a parameter ? Is there any other way of doing this ?
