Just wondering if anyone is using latest MediaWiki 1.9.3 with IE7? My IE7 keeps on creating new multiple tabs for every link I click in my MediaWiki 1.9.3 site. Am not sure whether it's IE7 or 1.9.3. But I never had any problems with IE6 + 1.9.2.

What is the best place to customize the way page titles are displayed?
I'd like to customize the page title on the main article view, and
also on the page listing within a category.
The reason is that we have several pages with conflicting names like
"Person form (This client)" and "Person form (That client)" and we'd
like to show just "Person form".
The full page title will remain effective, used in link and listings
like Search and Recent changes.
But it would be confusing for users of "This client" if all pages
related to them were shown with "This client" appended.
I wonder if anyone already solved this... Any hint will be appreciated.
Hi all,
I'm a member of a medium-sized network of business consultants here in the
UK and our website is up for redesign (see here for your own opinion!
http://www.bcn.org.uk/ ). The tone of the group in respect of marketing &
promotions is best regarded as "staid", and as I'm a relatively new member
most are regarding my troublemaking efforts to push a good & up-to-date web
solution as "nuisance".
I feel we can do a much better job by using a wiki, set up with suitable
templates and using an overall "look & feel" we shall probably shop out.
What I need are ideas, suggestions, dos & don'ts, plus ideally any
references to good or bad site designs of this sort both with & without
wikis.
Enough variety to get your teeth into? :)

Hello,
Is there a way to create namespaces that act exactly as Category
The articles of my wiki are folkloric songs lyrics and related informations
(translation, video, music notation...)
A song can by performed by several artists (let's say Jeff and John).
Each artist is a category (Category:Jeff and Category:John) and TheSong is
in both categories
In [[TheSong]] I write [[Category:Jeff]][[Category:John]]
but I also write [[Category:TheFilm]] if it's a soundtrack of a film, and
[[Category:TheCountry]] to tell where it comes from, and rhythm, dance...
Then I've a lot of categories :
- Category:Jeff
- Category:John
- ...
- Category:TheFilmNumber 1
- Category:TheFilmNumber 1
- ...
- Category:Greece
- Category:Hungary
- ...
- Category:Waltz
- Category:Tango
To categorize these categories, I added them to super-categories :
- Category:Artist
- Category:Country
- Category:Dance style
- Category:Rhythm
- Category:Film
- ...
It allows me to browse choosing an index : by country, by artist...
I'd like to create Artist, Rythm, Country... namespaces which would act
exactly as actual categories, i.e. an [[Artist:Jeff]] is a category
displaying articles (songs) where I'd have added [[Artist:Jeff]] instead of
[[Category:Jeff]].
This would allow to search in artist name, film title... which is more user
friendly than Main and Category.
Is that possible ? And how ?
Thanks in advance
