Hi,
I'm working with a local DB version of the wikimedia dumps and i need to
access the high quality versions of the images from a given article. The
thumbnail name allows me to retrieve the "medium quality" version using the
namespace (Image:thumbnailName.png) but i just don't know how to retrieve
the high quality image. This info seems not avalaible in the image table
neither in the XML export of the pages.
Google didn't help me this time... so if someone has a clue or some URLs to
pages explaining this, I'd be more than happy!
Thanks!

Hello,
First, my apologies if this is the wrong place to ask or if this
question has been asked before.
I am looking to implement Wiki in a corporate setting. Has any work
been done to integrate the Wiki user accounts and permissions with a
directory services, such as Active Directory? If so, could some
friendly person give me a reference or a link?
Thanks in advance,
J Wolfgang Goerlich
Hi,
I'm getting this error when I try to dump all current pages with the command
(from my wiki root directory):
php ./maintenance/dumpBackup.php --current > outfile
DB connection error: Unknown error
I'm thinking this must be a permissions problem, so I chowned all the
relevant php files to root, but I still get that error. I can't find
anything online about this issue - help appreciated.

php 5
Mediawiki 1.8.1
mysql 4.0.24
Freebsd 5.4
I upgraded to MW 1.8.2 over the weekend, and a previously working FCKeditor
seems broken.
The image browser is returning an 'ajax request error' message.
My $wgScriptPath = ""; hasn't changed.
and my FCKConfig.mwScriptPath = "."; hasn't changed.
I have tried to figure out what is happening by turining on the debug in the
fck_image.js and tracing the steps.
I get a popup window with: 'RSD: wfSajaxSearchFCKeditor uri =
/./index.php?action=ajax&rs=wfSajaxSearchImageFCKeditor&rsargs[]=abe/post =
null'
If I paste this into the browser, it returns a blank page.
Any Ideas why this would be?
Is there something that changed in 1.8?
I have just installed wiki, but I need all those Help Pages before start
using Wiki.
Is there any way to copy from somewhere all this pages. Or is there any
standart wiki for getting this content?
Thanks,
Frisoni
Dear Wiki Lovers
I am looking for a spellcheker for my current MediaWiki installation,
I have read details on ones from years ago but nothing seems current.
It would have to be a server-side installation I would guess?
If anyone has experience of this your help would be appreciated.
Running:
* MediaWiki: 1.6.8
* PHP: 5.0.4 (cgi-fcgi)
* MySQL: 5.0.21-standard-log
Regards,
NM
Has anyone tested Internet Explorer 7 with MW? Specifically, versions 1.6.8 and 1.7.1 in addition to the current version.

Hi
I installed two wikis on the same host (intranet):
wiki1: wiki.wikisrv.css.ch
wiki2: wiki_test.wikisrv.css.ch
On wiki2, I installed the ldap extension, which works fine if you use
firefox,
but displays "you have cookies disabled" when using internet explorer.
As soon as this extension is disabled, it works as it should.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this?
thanks in advance
chris
I installed XAMPP whilst trying to set up a MediaWiki wiki on my website,
but I don't actually know what it's for. I found the instructions for
setting up my wiki quite confusing and I think I was looking at the wrong
page for what I wanted to do. It also seems to have slowed down my PC a
great deal. Can someone explain what XAMPP does so I can judge whether I
need to keep it or not, as if not I'd like to uninstall it.
Thanks
Richard
