thanks for your help, the skin works!

Wiki displays the sitename (like Main Page) and in the next line
it writes "from ..., the free encyclopedia".
My problem is that I don't want that there is anything with
encyclopedia, because in fact, I don't have a real encyclopedia.
so, can anybody help me again?

mg

Changes from 1.2.0rc3:
* Fixed new bug that broke 'remember my password' logins
* Fixed text alignment for thumbnail images, enhanced recentchanges in
RTL languages
* $wgSitename auto-detection now includes port number if not running on
port 80
* Tightened up indexes on links tables to try to prevent corrupted
entries
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=34373
Anyone using rc3 is encouraged to upgrade. (To fix the login bug alone,
you can copy in User.php and Setup.php from rc4 to your rc3
installation.)
If you're using MySQL 4.0, you should also update the linkscc table to
fix the index there. update.php will do this, or remove
LocalSettings.php and re-run the in-place installer. (Or manually run
maintenance/archives/patch-linkscc.sql.)

Hi there,
I'm having some trouble with the web installer. Everything seems to go
well during the installation. But, when I visit what should be the
front of my new wiki using this URL:
http://www.objectif.org/wiki/index.php
... I get redirected to this URL:
http://www.objectif.org/wiki/index.php/Wiki/index.php
where I get the message "No input file specified"
Anyone have any ideas? -- Thanks! /mike
p.s.
I'm not using and mod_rewrite stuff. I don't even have any .htaccess
files. My database is set up just fine. I'm using Dreamhost.
My LocalSettings are in /wiki directory, set thusly:
$wgScriptPath = "/wiki";
$wgScript = "$wgScriptPath/index.php";
$wgRedirectScript = "$wgScriptPath/redirect.php";
$wgArticlePath = "$wgScript/$1";
Hello!
I'm a php neebie and i want to run MediaWiki, but I just want to
use the cologne skin as standard skin, or better I only want to
offer the cologne skin...
Is there a possibility to do that?
thanks for your help!
best regards,
mg

I'm planning to set up and try MediaWiki once 1.2.0 is released
and I have a question: Is it possible to set up comment-only
pages? For example, I'm thinking that I would like to put each
section of my "Procmail Quick Start" on a wiki page of its own
and let people add comments below. I know there are other CMS
systems that allow this, but I'm hoping to use MediaWiki because
of its support for mathematical symbols.
Thank you,
Nancy

This is a stupid nit-picky thing, but w/r/t version numbers: it might
just be worthwhile to use the microversion number for the release
candidates.
Most folks wait a while with "dot zero" software anyways. So maybe
just call the next version 1.2.4, and leave it at that.
Also, it might be worthwhile to start tagging the CVS repository for
releases.

Hi,
is someone currently working on the code in CVS? The way it is now, it
doesn't seem to work.
Specifically, the following input text:
''Test''
generates this output:
<p><font color="#FF0000"><b>'</b></font><font
color="#FFFF00"><b></b></font><font color="#FF0000"><b>'</b></font><font
color="#FFFF00"><b></b></font>'Test''
It seems that the Tokenizer thinks each apostrophe is an individual
token, but it should consider '' as a single token.
Could someone fix this please?
Thanks,
Timwi
This should be pretty much it before a formal 1.2.0 release; the main
thing remaining is smarter update of the messages when updating an
existing wiki. (Upgraders, please see
http://meta.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_namespace for some notes on
how the new UI interface message editing works. You may have to
manually fix messages that were previously customized in Language.php.)
Thanks to everyone who's given feedback! Changes in 1.2.0rc3 from rc2:
General:
* register_globals no longer required
* Fix error message on some redirects on Windows servers
* Now supports friendlier URLs without mod_rewrite:
/index.php/Page_Title in place of /index.php?title=Page_Title
* arrow icons for 'enhanced recent changes' now included
* Timestamp consistency bug on some page move cases fixed.
Web installer fixes:
* If write of LocalSettings.php fails, the text is printed for a manual
cut-n-paste
* Fixed failure to write LocalSettings.php on older versions of PHP
* Can now run database updates if pointed at an existing db
* Include path now uses correct separator on Windows
Command-line installer/updater fixes:
* Now copies magnify-clip.png and LocalSettings.php (by update.php)

Greetings:
One of my users has asked me to enable TeX in our mediawiki. TeX is
installed on the box, so I went into Localsettings.php and changed $wgUseTeX
to true and tried loading an article with some math markup.
I get:
Failed to parse (unknown error): \sum_{n=0}.....
What am I missing?
