It's worth discussing. I'm inclined to agree with those comments
from 2007 fwiw.
Can you share your reasons? Here or that talk page.
Free software projects big / complex enough to have professionals
specialized on them tend to have a Jobs section at their websites or
somewhere nearby.
Somewhere nearby is fine, which is why I've got no problems with linking
to third party sites. I just don't think it's our job (as the MediaWiki
community) to list these jobs.
