The first link you gave me assumes my wiki is installed in a subfolder called w and we will use the virtual directory wiki. My actual directory is wiki. Maybe I should use the virtual directory w then and just replace w with wiki and vice versa where it occurs. Bruce

Hello all, Is there a way to get Clean URLs for a mediawiki site? I did a search for this and found one listing that was rather complicated in terms of what it was describing. I wonder if there is an extension that does this more easily. Thanks, Bruce

An extension would sound more hackish to me, but basicly, an easy manual to go with would be http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Short_URL/wiki/Page_title_--_no_root_ac...
- I've used this method a lot, and had a high success level with it. For
more methods, have a look at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Short_URL
