[Mediawiki-l] Will XHTML 1.0 Strict be supported in the future?

As a general question, simply to satisfy my curiosity, I would like to
ask if Mediawiki/Wikpedia could be XHTML 1.0 Strict (or even XHTML
1.1) compliant in the next years and what issues must be addressed to
accomplish this.
