New, "intelligent" bots able to go through
ConfirmEdit?
I should have been more specific: I configured ConfirmEdit to allow
edits by anonymous users if the edit contains no new links. So these
bots aren't able to bypass ConfirmEdit; they're just not adding links
for some reason.
A botnet/botnets collecting "editable" wiki
web addresses, to sell
them
later?
Yeah, could be it. Although I'd have hoped they'd notice that all
their edits are being reverted and stop harassing me. Wishful
thinking I guess...
Other possibility is your plugin is broken? Did you
edit it
manually etc.?
Have you considered using Captcha?
I've set up ConfirmEdit to use a CAPTCHA, and it's stopping all the
spam that adds links. It's just these weird spammers who add linkless
gibberish that's causing problems.
