Use the longer solution at the bottom (from Maiden_taiwan), not the simplistic one at the top.

Is there a way to make user logins occur over TLS? Meaning when the user clicks Login the protocol scheme is changed to https (if it is not already) and then, after having successfully logged in, changed back to what it was previously?
