Hello,
What is the alternative if we want the images? I was told on IRC
awhile back that it was safe to download the files individually, and I
do not see what to do otherwise. I do realize that it is not vital
for there to even be distributions of Wikimedia projects, and that
they just make things easier for everyone, but the distributions
really do not work without images.
What should everyone using dumps do in the meantime, before image
dumps are available?
Thanks,
Kasimir

Regarding the image dumps for the several
wikipedia languages...
Why are all the latest dumps from 2005 ? Have they sttoped for any
reason ?
Insufficient working space to create dumps.
Are they expected to be available again any time
soon ?
At some point. New storage servers are in part present, but this work is
still in progress.
