I have just noticed an oddity. I am using
MediaWiki 1.6.5, and had it
bookmarked as
joshua-wopr.com/wiki but recently changed the bookmarked
url to
www.joshua-wopr.com/wiki and started editting some of my pages.
Set $wgServerName to
www.joshua-wopr.com and $wgServer to
http://www.joshua-wopr.com in LocalSettings.php, and it may be solved.
Okay, so I place these in LocalSettings.php, exactly how do I set it,
though? I'm guessing something like:
$wgServerName =
www.joshua-wopr.com
$wgServer =
http://www.joshua-wopr.com
Or do I need to set quotes around part of it? Insert other bits?
I have noticed
that when I complete an edit, and it redisplays the
editted page at me, the url is now sans www., and so if I click on
Edit again, or follow a link to another page and select Edit on that
one, I get prompted to log in again!
Is this a bug, or a feature? :-D Is there a way around it?
You can log out in the site with the www, then log in in the site
without the www, and I think it will make you logged in in both "sites".
Of course, the first solution is better, and I suggest you'll use this
one only if the first doesn't work.
