That's funny, only firefox worked for me, and not IE.
In IE there was setting to always look for a 'modified' file. It was set on
automatic, but I changed it to be explicit.
When the browser request a page does a GET request with additional
requirements being "if modified".
There must be a setting in Firefox to always check for a modified version of
the page.
Also, F5 refreshes, CTRL-F5 actually does the check for a modified version.
Ctrl-F5 is better I found (IE and Firefox)

Subject: [Mediawiki-l] Firefox shows outdated wikipages
Hi!
I recently updatet MediaWiki from 1.3.9 to 1.4.4. I copied all old tables
via phpAdmin ("copy structures and data") and installed the new wiki
normally using the new tables. The wiki works, but when I edit a page,
Firefox (1.0.4) always shows outdated pages. Even after reloading the page.
Only clearing the chache or restarting Firefox helps.
Sometimes also the skin changes to a plain version. With Opera (7.54)
everything works fine.
LocalSettings.php:
$wgScriptPath = "";
$wgScript = "$wgScriptPath/index.php";
$wgRedirectScript = "$wgScriptPath/redirect.php";
What's wrong?
greetings
