This is because, unless told not to, MediaWiki ignores the case of the
first letter in a title - this is so that you can type "...is a kind
of [[tree]]", and be linked to an article with the displayed title
"Tree". The behaviour can be turned off globally - for instance, a
dictionary-type project may not want this behaviour - but not on a
case-by-case basis. Because the name of a file is also the title of
its description page, it too defaults to beginning upper-case.
