(new to MediaWiki)
Seeking some guidelines/examples of custom CSS layout in the MediaWiki
infrastructure.
Specifically, setting up a template and or a design for documentation
(internal/company/IT, etc.). I read through the
mediawiki.org
documentation, and found myself getting lost in the details. It's not
clear to me how to correctly apply the CSS rules, and how/if they are
inherited only in that Wiki section, or if you can do other fancy tricks.
Edit Mediawiki:Monobook.css. Use Firefox/Mozilla's DOM Inspector for a
guide.
Not trying to hijack, but I still cannot for the life of me get the
MediaWiki:monobook.css to do anything. I've been hacking things by
hand instead of via this method, which I don't want to do anymore.
Is there a guide somewhere?
MediaWiki:monobook.css contains:
pastoral {
color:"#00ff00" !important;
}
<div style="pastoral">pastoral</div>
purging the page or cache, changes nothing. What am I doing wrong?
