വിക്കിപീഡിയയില്‍ *കാറ്റഗറി (Category)*, *സെക്ഷന്‍ (Section), സബ്‌ഹെഡിംഗ് (Sub Heading)* ഈ മൂന്ന് വാക്കുകളുടേയും മലയാളപദമായി ഇപ്പോള്‍ നമ്മളുപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് *വിഭാഗം* എന്ന പദമാണ്‌. *വിഭാഗം* എന്ന ഒരു നെയിംസ്പേസ് തന്നെ നമുക്കുണ്ട്. അതു ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലെ Category എന്ന നെംസ്പെസിന്റെ മലയാളമായാണു * വിഭാഗം* എന്നു നമ്മള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. പക്ഷെ ഈ അടുത്തായി മീഡിയാവിക്കി സന്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ പരിഭാഷ ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴാണ്‌ ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരേ പദം തന്നെ എല്ലാത്തിനും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിലുള്ള പ്രശ്നം മനസ്സിലാകുന്നത്. അതിനാല്‍ ഓരോന്നിനും വെവ്വേറെ വാക്കുകള്‍‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഒരു അഭിപ്രായരൂപീകരണം നടത്തേണ്ടതു അത്യാവശ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു. ഡിക്ഷണറിയില്‍ കാറ്റഗറി എന്നതിന്റെ പരിഭാഷയായി കാണുന്ന വാക്കുകള്‍ *വര്‍ഗ്ഗം*,* തരം*,*ഇനം*,*വകുപ്പ്* ഇതൊക്കെയാണ്‌. ആദ്യകാലങ്ങളില്‍ വിക്കിയില്‍ *സൂചിക* എന്ന പദവും കാറ്റഗറിയുടെ മലയാളമായി ഉപയൊഗിച്ച് കണ്ടിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ കാറ്റഗറി എന്ന വാക്കിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ നല്ല ഒരു മലയാളം വാക്ക് കണ്ടെത്തി അഭിപ്രായം രൂപീകരണം നടത്തേണ്ടത് അത്യാവശ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു. കാരണം അതു നെയിംസ്പേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതാണു. വിക്കിയിലെ ബാഹ്യസന്ദേശങ്ങളില്‍ ഒരു വാക്കു തിരുത്തുന്നതു പോലെ എളുപ്പമുള്ള ഒരു പരിപാടിയല്ല നേം‌സ്പേസ് തിരുത്തുക എന്നത്. മാത്രമല്ല നിലവിലുള്ള സം‌വിധാനത്തിനു കുഴപ്പം വരാതെ നോക്കുകയും വേണം. ** *വര്‍ഗ്ഗം*, *സൂചിക*, *വകുപ്പ്*, *ഇനം* ഇങ്ങനെ കുറച്ച് വാക്കുകള്‍ ആണു വിക്കിപീഡിയയിലെ വിവിധ സം‌വാദങ്ങളില്‍ പലരും സൂചിപ്പിച്ചതു. *Category*, * Categories*, *Category Tree* ഇതിനൊക്കെ ശരിയായ പരിഭാഷ കിട്ടുന്ന വാക്കാകണം തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ട്ത്. - വര്‍ഗ്ഗം, വര്‍ഗ്ഗങ്ങള്‍, വര്‍ഗ്ഗവൃക്ഷം - സൂചിക, സൂചികകള്‍, സൂചികാവൃക്ഷം ഇങ്ങനെ പരിഭാഷ ചെയ്യാന്‍ വര്‍ഗ്ഗം, സൂചിക എന്നീ വാക്കുകള്‍ സഹായിക്കും എന്നതിനാല്‍ എനിക്കു അതിനോടാണു താല്പര്യം. എങ്കിലും Category എന്ന വാക്കിനോടു ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത അര്‍ത്ഥം നല്‍കുന്ന *വര്‍ഗ്ഗം* എന്ന വാക്കിനോടാണു പലരുടേയും യോജിപ്പ്. എങ്കിലും എല്ലാവരുടേയും അഭിപ്രായങ്ങള്‍ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു അതീവ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള ഒരു ചര്‍ച്ചയാണു. കാരണം ഇപ്പോല്‍ തന്നെ 8000ത്തിനടുത്ത് ലേഖനങ്ങളുണ്ട് നമ്മുടെ വിക്കിയില്‍. ഈ 8000 ലേഖനത്തിലും വരേണ്ട ഒരു സംഭവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഒരു കാര്യമാണിതു. ഒരു മാറ്റം വരുത്തി കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഇനി ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ വേറൊരു‍ മാറ്റം അതീവ ദുഷ്ക്കരമാകും. അതു കൊണ്ടു തന്നെ ഈ അതിപ്രധാനമായ കാര്യം തീരുമാനമെടുക്കാതെ നീട്ടി കൊണ്ടു പോകാനും പറ്റില്ല. അതിനാല്‍ ഈ വിഷയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കി *Category* എന്ന വാക്കിനു യോജിച്ച മലയാളം വാക്ക് സജസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുവാന്‍ താല്പര്യപ്പെടുന്നു. നിലവില്‍ ഉപയോഗത്തിലുള്ള *വിഭാഗം* എന്ന നേംസ്പേസ് നമുക്ക് അലിയാസ് ആക്കാം. അതിനാല്‍ നിലവിലുള്ള കാറ്റഗറികള്‍ക്കു പ്രശ്നം ഒന്നും വരില്ല താനും. Section എന്നതിനു വിഭാഗം എന്നും, Subheading എന്നതിനു ഉപശീര്‍ഷകം എന്നും കൊടുക്കമെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. ഷിജു

ഹലോ രമേശ്.. ആ താള്‍ ഡിലീറ്റ് ചെയ്തല്ലോ. അതില്‍ ഒരു വാചകം മാത്രമാണു ഉണ്‍ടായിരുന്നത്. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാന്‍ ഇഗ്ലീഷ് വിക്കിയില്‍ നിന്നു ഒരു പാരഗ്രാഫ് തര്‍ജമ ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ആ സംഭവം ആ താളിന്റെ നാള്‍വഴിയിലും ഇല്ലല്ലോ. പിന്നെ ഉപയോക്താവിനുള്ള താള്‍ ഞാന്‍ രണ്ടു തവണ ചെയ്തു. ഇപ്പോഴും ഈ താളില്‍ ഇതുവരെ ഉള്ളടക്കം ആയിട്ടില്ല എന്നാണു കാണുന്നത്. ഞാന്‍ സേവ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് ശരിയാവുന്നില്ല. അനീസ്
