Greetings,
I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask, but I tried all of the Indian Noticeboards on the English Wikipedia.
I am Zachary Harden, but maybe better known as user Zscout370. I am an administrator for both the English Wikipedia and the Commons. The main work I do on both sites is to contribute is to flag drawings and information. Recently, the flag of India article passed a review of its Featured Article status.
With that flag, there are three documents issued by the Indian Standards Institute (now the Bureau of Indian Standards) that describes every detail about the flag. However, I am not inside of India and it feels like not many people are able to help. I know you can buy the standards online, but the prices are x10 or more for me because I am an American. Where do yall suggest I should seek help at?

I though the BIS standards only laid out the manufacturing standards for Cotton/Khadi/Silk/Wool.
Is that what you need?
Thank you.

Sure. I'm happy to get a copy. Could I ask why they are needed? Also, not sure if the copyright they are under will allow us to do much with them.
Thank you.

To improve the accuracy on the sections dealing with the construction of the flag. Most importantly to me, the SVG file of the Indian flag will be corrected based on these documents. The files will not be hosted on Wikipedia proper because of copyright, but will be used as reference guides.

That makes sense. Do you need all three or will the first one, which is the most common construction, Cotton/Khadi, suffice?
Thank you.

IS 1 (Cotton Khadi) and the amendments will work best.

Hi,
I will appreciate if we can avoid flood of mails / avoid "reply all" messeages whenever possible:
For things like Twitter ID collection, someone like Srikanth can take responsibility to collect and we can send personal mails to him. He can collect and publish the list later. Or we can create a wiki page and ask people to register there.
Thanks,
