Dear Wikimedians,
As per my previous mail, you all know that we have successfully completed
the *Wiki Loves Butterfly (WLB) part-1* and duly submitted the report of
the same and in course of *Wiki Loves Butterfly (WLB) part-2* project,
running nicely towards its targeted goal.
This gives me a great pleasure to announce the *Wiki Loves Butterfly in
North-East India (WLB-NEI)* project is going to start 1st May,2018.
Hereby the WLB team is requesting all wikimedians to visit the project and
contribute as per their choice species and create or develop articles in
their respective native languages and thus resulting in a multilingual
approach to the project. Your honest feedback and suggestion is also
welcome.
If anybody wants to start a similar project in his or her native language,
the WLB team is willing to support in every possible aspect.

Hi,
Please see a proposal to create a list of articles that every Indian
language Wikipedia should have
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Supporting_Indian_Language_Wikipedias_Progr…>.
Special focus is on educational needs of a common school / college student
or a common man from India / South Asia who uses Wikimedia content as a
reference to enrich his/her day to day knowledge.
The idea is to generate a long term wish list by community consensus. The
list will also have its immediate utility in encouraging participants of
Project Tiger writing contest to write articles from this list of topics.
Ravi

Besides monthly prizes for individual editors, the community that creates
the most number of articles will win a *community capacity training prize
which is worth 10,00,000 Indian Rupee budget to train 40 people for 3 days*.
The training will be facilitated by CIS-A2K and the Wikimedia Foundation.
