FOSS and wikimedia project have some similarities but they are different projects. Wikimedians are not a subgroup of FOSS followers, infact most of them living outside ideal FOSS world (I use free softwares, but i don't like FOSS extremism, many others using non-free softwares). I don't think there is any possibility to impose any POV to wikimedians in the name of FOSS if there is a good wikimedia community. That is not very hard, since the people with particular aim rarely contribute outside mailing list or talk page.
