Which future version will support Windows and when will this version be released?
Windows support, as far as it goes, works for the most part - I use a
couple of Windows machines for quite a lot of development work,
switching over to BSD to test and for other stuff. As Brion points
out, though, Windows has problems with...among a lot of other
things...filenames, etc.
"A future version" was left ambiguous because, although the framework
is now in place to improve things, the change is not just code; a huge
number of files on large wikis such as Wikipedia, all the Wikia stuff,
etc. will have to be migrated, and we need to ensure non-breakage for
those. So it's not been planned for a specific branch yet.
And nobody hast got another solution for this?
I'm sure they'll chime in if so.
