Then the frames of the pages displays OK on different browsers. But the text is absent. I can login to the site, I can access the text, update it, get the diffs, etc. However, when I ask a preview or I want to see the page, the text is absent.

I have other sites that have been installed with Softaculous that work just fine.
What I'm seeing is consistent with bug 58213[1], which could arise because of an upgrade of either PHP (5.5.10 includes PCRE 8.34) or the system copy of the PCRE library. (I don't know whether cPanel's build of PHP uses the system PCRE.)
Try applying the patch for the bug (linked in comment 20) to your old MediaWiki installation (the API[2] tells me it is 1.13.1, which would be affected), and see if it fixes the problem.
If it doesn't, it would help for us to see relevant PHP errors from the web server's error log, if they appear (refer to How to debug[3] on MediaWiki.org).

Dear Kevin, I am sorry but I do not find a comment 20 in the https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58213 page, or maybe the "Y@58213" does not read ?id=58213? Thank you for your help. jfc
