You put <inputbox>...</inputbox> in the editbox of any editable page of your wiki, not the php code. You do know what a page that you can edit is, don't you? ;)

Yes. That is ok. You don't have to edit "html files". These tags are put within your site, i.e. within pages of your wiki. You have to open your wiki in your browser, not the folder where it is installed.

Desde tu navegador puedes ir al wiki, y en la pagina en que quieras usar el <inputbox>, le das al enlace 'editar', tal y como si fueras a editar normalmente la pagina del wiki. En el contenido a editar veras tu pagina, y alli mismo puedes poner la etiqueta <inputbox>. No importa que no *luzca* como html, de todas formas entiende la etiqueta (si tienes el plugin instalado). No tienes que abrir ningun fichero, solo editar via web.
Nota: yo tambien soy nuevo con el mediawiki asi que no se mucho de eso ===========
