Never mind... sorry for the bother... It seems if you just look meticulously
enough, you'll find these whitespaces in strange places where you wouldn't
expect to find them. Found them in several extensions, and the feeds are
working perfectly now. :-)

I cannot get MW 1.6.5. to display the rss and atom

high and low for a solution and meticulously removing all the whitespace I
