Another area that could benefit most non-WMF wikis is a way to import
some documentation for how to *use* a wiki.
This was an area that surprised me when I first installed MediaWiki:
the lack of basic templates and help files.
Well, the templates are somewhat understandable, but no help files?
It made the whole thing feel really amateurish to me. It was very
tedious and painful to import all the help files and there associated
images. Also, my wiki is English only and the help files dragged
along a whole bunch of localization stuff I didn't want.
Just my opinion.
