I'd like to change the display of the list of
files that were uploaded
to my
wiki. I'm using 1.6.7. Right now they'r
displayed on Special:Imagelist
and
if someone wants to check what pages link to a
given image they have to
follow the link (desc) in front of a given document.
You're using an out of date version of the software which contains
known security vulnerabilities; I strongly recommend you upgrade to at
least 1.6.10 and remember to actually pay attention to the
announcement notices, which are also posted to
http://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mediawiki-announce.
I would also strongly recommend anyone still using 1.6.x series and
who are able to upgrade to PHP 5, whose host supports PHP 5 through an
alternate extension (see
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:Robchurch/Getting_PHP_5_on_a_cheap_host
),
or who can move to a hosting provider which provides PHP 5 in some
form to consider their migration path to MediaWiki 1.9.x series. The
1.6.x series reaches the end-of-life period in April, that is, less
than a month.
If possible I'd like to merge both sites
(i.e. list with description of
what
pages link to a given document) and have sth
like:
Name of the document, what wikipages link to it.
Is there a way to achieve it? What should be changed?
You can write a special page extension which does this.
