Oh yes I defiantly agree - I shouldn't have made it sound so bad -
Safari is perfect in practically every way that I can think of, yet
it freezes on that page every time. Thus I open camino (which is
gecko based) and it never seems to crash, maybe real firefox would
though. DUnno. That page really needs to be re-written/fixed!

Try FireFox.
That's not a fair response, since it has happened to me using Firefox,
too. I suspect some inefficient JavaScript.
It would be a good idea to allow this to be switched off in the site
configuration, methinks.
