How can I edit the language/messageZh_tw.php?

It seems it have some strange long lines. After edit they got warp into more than one lines.

Can somebody suggest a editor which can edit this safely?

vim? are they text or binary?

Hello,

Have a look at our l10n guide, it got a list of editor with unicode support:

Under win32 i would recommend NotePad++ (GPL / lot of stuff), under linux either emacs or vim (both free, subjects to trolling).
