Hi, I was just wondering whether it is better to have the panel of the Mediawiki skin on the left or on the right. I understand that panels on the right-hand side facilitate search engine optimization (SEO) but I have not seen any difference at all to my Alexa ranking after I changed the panel to the right a month ago. Personally, I am so used to the panel on the left. Moreover, I am left-handed and that makes it so much harder for me to access the panel on the right. I believe that right-handed users would find WordPress layouts more friendly since the panel is located at the right. Opinions greatly appreciated. I am thinking of returning the panel to the left.

Why would it affect search engine optimization? Note that although having the panel at the left, its contents are at the bottom of the article content.
Hi Platonides, thank you for response. Actually, I read that in one website on SEO techniques before and I am having a difficult time with the footer by having the panel on the right. Also, I am not used to it, it's like driving a left-hand drive car after driving a right-hand drive for years. Anyway, here is one article that may be of interest: http://www.netprofitstoday.com/blog/website-design-should-navigation-be-on-t...

Hi Platonides, I didn't catch your last sentence. That explains why there was no difference to my Alexa ranking after I shifted my panel from left to right. Thanks very much. At least I can have my panel on the left again, LOL.
