Hello!
I see this Meta-Tags in the source of a Wikipage.
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css" /> <meta name="generator" content="MediaWiki 1.14.0" /> <meta name="keywords" content="Hauptseite,Admin" />
How and where are these tags generated? Is there a good extension available to generate additional tags?
Regards

Yes ok. I installed AddMetas.php and have two lines of keywords now.
... <meta name="Keywords" content="mykeywordswithaddmetas" /> <meta name="Author" content="Andreas" /> <meta name="Rating" content="General" /> <meta name="robots" content="index,follow" /> <meta name="Revisit" content="1 days" /> <meta name="revisit-after" content="3 days" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css" /> <meta name="generator" content="MediaWiki 1.14.0" /> <meta name="keywords" content="Hauptseite,Admin" /> ...
Although I installed addmetas.php there is a line with keywords inserted by the wiki. Where is this done?

Will we be able to use MediaWiki on a WAP website? Or rather, will users be able to access a MW-website with their cellphones?
What should one do to make it more user friendly for cellphone users(WAP)? Should the structure change?
Any advice will be appreciated.
Regards, Sarel
Hello,
I use my cellphone a lot to view MediaWiki sites and normally it all works fine.
The only problem I have is that I cant edit pages that are bigger than 5400 lines of text.

Ok, thanks. Yes, thats one of the reasons why the normal MW is not cellphone friendly, perhaps because the website is not in the right format.
The newer cellhpones do show the MW sites correctly, my SonyEricson P1i does that perfectly, but the problem is that not everyone have new technology.

Check out http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MobileSkin. It detects mobile devices and switches to an alternate skin without altering your default choice.

There is the WAP code in MediaWiki SVN:
http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/wap/
viewable on m.wikipedia.org, for example. I don't see any instructions for setting it up. Maybe they are out there, maybe not.
