Hi -- I've created some custom namespaces, and they appear in the Namespace dropdown of the Special:All Pages page, but when I create a page in the namespace, it only appears in the Main namespace.
For example: let's say there's a namespace called The Shapers World.
I'm able to create a page called The_Shapers_World:Home, and it appears in the browser address bar as /The_Shapers_World:Home... but when I look at Special:All Page, it only shows up under the Main namespace.
Further, if I filter the All Pages list to just The Shapers World, after I click GO, no pages are listed AND the following appears:
Display Pages Starting At: The Shapers World:The Shapers World: Display Pages Ending At: The Shapers World:The Shapers World:
I'm not sure what I've done wrong!
Help..? Thanks!
Was the page created before the namespace was created? If yes, running the namespaceDupes.php maintenance script will resolve this.
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:NamespaceDupes.php
If not, then I have no idea what could be wrong, but I'd try running that script anyway. ;)
Hi, Bartosz. I appreciate the response.

I created the namespaces before creating the pages.

I gave it a go, got the "Looks good!" message. Problem unchanged. :-(
Anyone else..?

This might sound dumb, but when you defined your wiki did you do it: "This_is_a_custom_namespace" or "This is a custom namespace" in your local settings.php ?

That doesn't sound dumb at all. I did it without the underscores, based on various and sundry references on mediawiki.org and elsewhere on the web, and in the OReilly book. But if there's one thing I've learned, mediawiki documentation is... well.
I'll add the underscores and run the various repair / check scripts and see what happens..! Thanks for the suggestion!

All my notes and config for my local wiki use _ so just wondering if that could cause an issue with namespace recognition in the software
