Now that I am using LDAP for my user authentication, I'm not finding information about how to either use the administrator account I created when I installed MediaWiki or set my LDAP user as an/the administrator in the database. How do I do this?
Thanks, Tim
You can either use the database to make your user a sysop, or you can turn on "$wgLDAPUseLocal = true" to temporarily allow yourself to log in as WikiSysop, so that you can promote your normal user account, or you can syncronize groups with LDAP, and give a specific group sysop rights, or you can turn on the plugin temporarily, log in as WikiSysop and promote your user.
