Can someone please tell me where I can find a 'force preview before page save' extension? I remember reading out one somewhere, but I can't for the life of me find it again.

I think this is a petting in Special:Preferences, but I'm not sure off the top of my head how to set global preferences - someone will come along and explain I'm sure :)

I think you are right, I think it is a permissions issues. I can't seem to find any documentation on it though.
