Hi,

I'm trying to install mw 1.6.8 on my webserver. I chose this version because my ISP only provides PHP 4.3.4 and MySql 4.0.18. Installation seems to run fine - at least the DB tables have been created and no errors have been displyed by the installer. The only thing the installer was concerned of was register_gobals beeing activated.

However, no LocalSettings.php file is beeing written.

Both the wiki and the config directories are 777.

I tried to simply use a modified version of LocalSettings.php of another running wiki, but then I end up with

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /srv/www/htdocs/kunden/***/html/wiki/includes/SkinTemplate.php on line 794

What could be the problem? A quick googling didn't produce helpful results...
