I have just started to use a wiki in my teaching and I
am AMAZED by the
amount of work that people are churning out and the way people are
assisting each other in their work.
Does anyone know of tools to summarise the logs e.g.
* produce graphs of the number of edits per hour
* number of people reading each page
* number of people editing each page
You might take a look at Erik Zachte's stats stuff; I believe his
scripts are available:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikistats
(Note that individual page views are not recorded by the wiki, you'd
need to dig into web server logs to get that information. Though the
page hit counters, if enabled, might do depending on what you need.)
Can I export the HISTORY of a page or RECENT CHANGES
in a comma
delimited file?
You can extract data directly from the database using the various mysql
tools, or write a little php or perl script.
Also you could work from the XML data dumps, which you can produce in
bulk from dumpBackup.php.
