Hello,
The Wolfram|Alpha Developer Team would like to announce an extension which enables embedding Wolfram|Alpha Widgets in MediaWiki pages. Wolfram|Alpha Widgets are mini-apps built on top of Wolfram|Alpha queries.
The extension page is here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WolframAlphaWidgets
The Wolfram|Alpha Widgets site is here: http://developer.wolframalpha.com/widgets/
A few issues with the sidebar.
I'm trying to get alt text on links that I place in the navigation menu but it is not apparent how to do this. Alt text exists for the links that come by default in the navigation menu, such as the "Current events" page, but if I want to place a link to one of my pages with alttext, I don't see how I can do that. Does anyone know the trick if one exists?
Also, when I place a link to a page called "My Page" in Mediawiki:Sidebar:
**My Page|mypage
what appears in the navigation menu is:
Mypage $1
which works to take me to the "My Page" page, but where does that $1 come from?
If I add a few spaces after
**My Page|mypage
The $1 does not show.
I'm guessing it's a bug. I'm using the Vector skin.
