Why don't you just use:
{{divtag|
all your content
}}
? That's the standard-ish way. The close part of the div tag can be dozens
of lines long if you want, as can the start.
Otherwise use an extension with <tag>content</tag>

Subject: Re: [Mediawiki-l] Div-Tags in {{Templates}}
I believe it's part of the sanitising parser, which cleans up all your
nasty HTML and makes it XHTML compliant. In short, not to my
knowledge, but perhaps Brion knows a trick he's keeping locked up...:P

Hi,
i want to make two templates. The first starts some "complicated" <div>
Tags. The second should close all these tags. Between the two Tags is
the content. An example:
{{BoxStart}}
Content
{{BoxEnde}}
My Problem: All the <div> Tags get closed automaticly from the MediaWiki
Software after the first template endes (that means: before the Content
starts). Is there a way, to prevent the MediaWiki to do this?
