Hi all!
In the archive I have read this sentence:
Perhaps you should explain a little bit more detailed, what u are looking for, because not many users here know the twiki really good.

This makes me hope that someone here has already solved the problem I have. We are in the implementation phase of a Wiki in my company. Currently, we have around 5 different wikis around, some TWikis, some MediaWikis, some moinmoins. Unfortunately, the data transmission from one to the other isn't that easy.
I have found some resources on the internet[1] about moving from one system to the other, and they all work somehow (more or less). What I have not found is a system to import a good bunch of TWiki pages (~200) in a decent manner.
In the maintenance dir there is "importUseModWiki.php". I don't know usemod, but did someone finish some "importTwiki.php"?
Any hints appreciated!
Cheers
André (very, very new to this list. Hello everybody!)

The real problem is that anyone moving from one wiki engine to another does the job precisely once - so all existing solutions are ad-hoc hacks and there's no repeat users to make them better. I encountered this with MoinMoin and ended up writing the mediawiki.org page on MoinMoin:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MoinMoin
Googling "twiki mediawiki" gives several bodgy scripts others have written to make the move.
So you may have to hack together some of those. But at least you can put the results up on mediawiki.org for those following you :-)

Actually, I've started a page:
http://mediawiki.org/wiki/Twiki
Not that I can add meaningful content to it myself ;-)

Hi David
Actually, I've started a page:
http://mediawiki.org/wiki/Twiki
Not that I can add meaningful content to it myself ;-)
Hehe, it's a start at least.
The opensource community somehow missed the point where a common wiki markup language would have been a good idea. Now it's too late apparently ...
When I find some solution (other than copy/paste), I'll share it.
Cheers
André
