Matt -- Hi. I was doing a search for the string "favicon" and noticed the repeated occurance in my apache2 error log :
[Mon Nov 07 15:13:42 2005] [error] [client 10.1.1.1] File does not exist: /home/wiki2/mediawiki/favicon.ico
The error makes sense in that the favicon.ico file is in the skins/common/images directory. What doesn't make sense is that the $wgStylePath looks to be ok and does point to the skins directory. --Ira

Hey Group,
Just noticing that the standard favicon for my media wiki doesn¹t display in the address field. I¹m using Safari, but I don¹t think it¹s my browser. Other sites favicons display fine including the one on mediawiki.org.
Is there something I must enable in the LocalSettings.php file?
Thanks for any help you can give.

Your favicon.ico goes in the web root. We don't provide a favicon, that's your business.
