I've just installed mediawiki but when I wrote <ref>bla</ref>, "bla" is not where I wrote <reference /> as a footnote. Any idea?

It works. But by following thoses instructions : http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Cite/Cite.php
The French part is for example unworkable.
