Dear Media Wiki Community,
First I would like to say sorry if I wrongly ask help by this way. I am having a problem related to importing abstract.xml which is dumped data from http://my.wikipedia.org . I am getting the error of "Import failed: Expected <mediawiki> tag, got feed ". I have no idea for that.
Second problem is importing a file named mywiki-20120430-all-titles-in-ns0.gz which is situated on http://dumps.wikimedia.org/mywiki/20120430/ . I am not sure which file type it is and how I import.
Thank you so much.
Best Regards,
Ko Min

It sounds like you might be trying to import an RSS or Atom feed instead of a Special:Export or data dump .xmp dump.
Are you sure you have the right file, obtained correctly?

This is just a list of page titles; there's not really a way to import it as such.

Dear Brion,
For first problem, file name is mywiki-20120430-abstract.xmlhttp://dumps.wikimedia.org/mywiki/20120430/mywiki-20120430-abstract.xmlwhich is on http://dumps.wikimedia.org/mywiki/20120430/ . I am not so sure. This is my first time testing wiki software.
For second problem, you mean that I don't really need to import it. Isn't it? Just confirm with you.
Thank you so much.
Best Regards,

Ah, this is a feed of short extracts of all pages; you can't import it into a wiki.
If you want to import all articles, you probably want the pages-articles or pages-meta dumps.

Dear All,
Sorry again. I already imported all backup and xml from http://dumps.wikipedia.org/mywiki/ but the links are still not working. I already used rebuildall.php in maintenance folder but I still can't open the page. When I opened the page, the error is the post may be deleted and blah blah blah. Is there anything that I need to do after importing data?
Best Regards, Ko Min

What file(s) did you use and with which method did you import it?
