Hi John
If I am not terribly wrong, your code is it. In HTML it is NOT allowed to use Tags like this:
<TagA> <TagB> </TagA> </TagB>
You have to end your Tags recursively, that means, you have to do it like this: <TagA> <TagB> </TagB> </TagA>

No, they will not work inside the <html></html> tags if you are allowing raw html to be used. However, all you have to do is end the html tag and restart it after the wiki tag. Any open html tags from before can be continued afterwards.
Example: Dfadfasdfadfasdfasdf [[Link|this is a wiki link]] <html> <a href="foo.com/bar.html">adsfadf</a> <div id="whatnot"> </html> [[another|another wiki link inside an html tag]] <html> </div> </html>
