this list has been really helpful, i have one more question. Our mediawiki shows these characters:

I need to know what should we install to make this work.

Thanks, now most of the site works, i only have about two issues left:
1. some citations are produced with a ">TR <" instead of "<TR
", any ideas ? i am using Mediawiki 1.6.10 with the latest dump,
could this be the reason ? 2. All Images are not there, i ran "rebuildmages.php" but nothing is added.
